“ I recently stopped by to indulge in their highly sought-after Margherita pizza, and the experience did not disappoint. Even though I arrived mid-afternoon, the wait was about 10 minutes, and there was a steady flow of customers waiting eagerly for their orders--a clear testament to the popularity and quality of this spot. As I waited, I enjoyed taking in the surroundings. The entire space was filled with the mouthwatering aroma of fresh Italian ingredients--basil, tomatoes, melting cheese, and the crisp scent of baking dough. The smell alone could transport you to an Italian kitchen! I took a moment to explore and even wandered into the attached café, which had a charming ambiance with its cozy seating and inviting pastries. It felt like the perfect place to unwind with a coffee while waiting. One of the best parts of this experience is knowing each pizza is made onsite, fresh to order. Watching the team prepare the pies, from stretching the dough to layering on the toppings, added to the anticipation. Finally, my Margherita pizza was ready, and the first bite was worth every minute of the wait. The crust was thin and perfectly baked with just the right amount of char, providing a crisp base for the fresh, tangy tomato sauce. The mozzarella was melty and delicious, and the fresh basil brought everything together with an earthy, aromatic finish. This Margherita pizza was absolutely scrumptious--a simple yet incredibly flavorful pie that showcases quality ingredients and expert preparation. It's one of those meals that reminds you why classics never go out of style. For anyone visiting Avalon, this place is a must-stop. Whether you're craving a perfectly crafted pizza or just want to savor authentic Italian flavors, this spot delivers every time. Can't wait for my next visit! #ashsaidit ”
“ This place never disappoints. The pizzas are the best in Atlanta. The location is quite upscale oriented, but the pricing is fair. Expect to wait for the order to arrive, this place is usually very packed. ”
“ Antico's is a great pizza place! It's always busy with customers, but the service is fast. Their pizzas are a bit expensive, but that's normal for brick oven pizzas. The crust and sauce are great, and there's a bar of free peppers, parmesan, garlic, etc. I would definitely recommend trying it at least once. There's free parking around Avalon. It is usually very busy so it is hard to find seating. ”
“ This is by far the best pizza I've had. Probably ever. The flavors are just perfect -- there's no need to add anything but if you want an additional little bit of cheese, garlic, or spices -- there's a nice little toppings bar with peppers, pepper paste, dried red peppers, Parmesan, and fresh minced garlic. It's delicious! The ambiance is nice - you can see the wood fired oven behind the counter. The servers are friendly and the food comes out fast. The crust has the perfect bounce and thickness. I'm in love! ”
“ It was nice to sit outside and people-watch. The pizza is not a personal-size Neopitan-style pizza at all. This is by far the biggest Neopolitan I have had. It is comparable to a regular-size pizza, so a pizza for one could easily feed two people. For the pizza being bigger, it was still good. ”
“ Fresh ingredients, counter service, fun but loud ambiance. Love the toppings available on the side (Calabrian chilis, spicy chili oil, olive oil, Parmesan, fresh minced garlic) that you can add to the pizzas. Their pizzas are large and so fresh - must eat while they're warm! There's a cafe next door if you want dessert or even coffee before/after! ”
“ The pizzas were absolutely delicious, it was a little More crisp Vs chewy however very very good Service was slow - we waited 25 mins for pizzas and then they got our name wrong and sent back the pizzas so we had to wait longer than needed Free waters and a little side bar with cheese, spicy sauce , hot oils etc is greatly appreciated, added a really nice touch to the place! Overall great experience. ”
“ We split 3 pizzas and a calzone between 5 friends and it was fantastic! I loved being able to try more of their flavors so I'd definitely recommend coming with a group and sharing. It can get very busy here so we were sitting outside. Unfortunately, they don't have any heaters outside so make sure to dress warmly! ”
